Life:
Christopher Marlowe was born to a shoemaker in Canterbury named John Marlowe and his wife Catherine. Marlowe attended The King's School in Canterbury and Corpus Christi College in Cambridge on a scholarship. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1584. Marlowe has often been described as a spy, a brawler, a heretic and a homosexual, as well as a magician. He was reputed to be an atheist which was being an enemy of God.There are various versions of Marlowe's death. Francis Meres says Marlowe was "stabbed to death by a bawdy serving-man, a rival of his in his lewd love" as punishment for his "epicurism and atheism."
